Goring Gap Boat Club has been chosen by the Waitrose in Wallingford as a green tokens charity.
At the end of your shop in branch, you’ll receive a token to place in a box of the good cause you’d most like to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive. Each month every Waitrose branch donates £1,000 between three local good causes that you choose.
Please spend them your tokens at the Wallingford Waitrose!
Come and join us this Wednesday (25th October) at 8pm in the Goring Social Club to find out what we need to do to move the club from Hardwick to Lower Basildon when the Phase 1 building work completes next year.
We have identified five work packages that we need people to help with. If you have any relevant experience, or just the enthusiasm and interest to help, then your club needs you!
If you would like to help but cannot make the meeting please email chairman@goringgapbc.org.uk and we will put you in touch with the leader of each group after the meeting.
New club polo shirts will be on sale from this weekend, and, on Saturday, we will have our annual Round-the-Island head race, from 9am. You can enter in crews of four, or on your own, by email to the Captain of Rowing (captainofrowing@goringgapbc.org.uk).
