Membership of Goring Gap Boat Club is open to all and we always welcome new members.

Due to COVID-19, we are not organising club sessions and only single scullers or crews in the same household can go out. Scullers must be safety assessed before they can go out unsupervised. Contact the Captains of Rowing.

Download the GGBC Full Membership Form . To join,  fill in the form and bring to your first session or fill in a form when you arrive – just speak to the session manager.

For information about fees and how to pay (£100 per year for full membership) please see the How to pay page.

Not sure if rowing is the sport for you? Then why not come along as a temporary member;  fill in the GGBC Temporary Membership Form.

It’s free and lasts for two outings. Any inquires or queries about membership should be addressed to our membership secretary.

Under 18’s are allowed down at the club, however they must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times. It is not acceptable for the parent/guardian to leave their child on the bank while they go rowing. Children between the ages of 13-17 can join the club as junior members and can row if accompanied by their parent/guardian in the boat. We accept the policies and procedures relating to child protection, as set out by British Rowing and require all members to accept them.

Sculling boat racking is available at the new boathouse.

Our Members Handbook is published annually online and the 2019 edition can be found here .

We ask that all members read the handbook as it contains important information about such things as:

  • Club rules
  • Safety
  • The Goring & Streatley Regatta
