Membership Application

Please note that completing the online membership application form does not mean that you have become a member – at this stage you are enquiring about membership. We will invite you to come along for an induction or introductory session with our Captain of Rowing. If space is available, we will offer you the opportunity to become a club member and payment is required.
Temporary Membership
Potential members and guests are permitted two visits, after which we require you to become a Full Member. GGBC is grateful for a voluntary £5 JustGiving donation from guests wishing to make a small gift in appreciation.
Non-rowing guests are welcome to come with members.

Types of Membership
Full Membership
Includes full use of club facilities and equipment. Members can bring their own equipment e.g. paddle boards, canoes. The club does offer racking, subject to availability and additional cost – see below for details.
The full membership fee is £150 per year.
Junior Membership
Under 18’s are welcomed at the club, however they must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Children between the ages of 13-17 can join the club as a Junior Member and can row if accompanied by their parent/guardian in the boat.
We also run Junior Learn to Row courses, please contact our Captain of Rowing in the first instance. Email – captainofrowing@goringgapbc.org.uk
We follow the policies and procedures relating to child protection, as set out by British Rowing and require all members to accept them.
The junior membership fee is £75 per year.
Student Membership
Students under the age of 23 with a student card can take advantage of a reduced membership fee of £75 per year.
Discounted Membership
We are an inclusive club and want to get as many people as possible enjoying the river!
We offer a reduced full annual membership fee of £75 per year to those in receipt of a means tested state benefit, e.g. pension credit or universal credit.
Please let the Membership Secretary know that you qualify.
Fun Boat Membership
People who do not wish to row in fine boats but who are interested in using our fun boats can pay a membership fee of £75 per year.
Fun boats members may not bring their own equipment to the club.
Racking
We are able to offer boat racking at the boathouse, charged at £250 annually and subject to availability. Find out more here or contact our Captain of Boats. Email – captainofboats@goringgapbc.org.uk
Payment
All members are asked to pay by annual Direct Debit. Links to the relevant GGBC mandate are below:
- Full adult rowing membership at £150 per year
- Full junior & student membership at £75 per year
- Funboats membership at £75 per year
All payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. You can cancel your direct debit at any time by notifying your bank or building society. If your circumstances change or you decide to leave the club please get in touch with the Membership Secretary.
