Temporary Membership
Not sure if rowing is the sport for you? Then why not come along as a temporary member. Fill in the GGBC Temporary Membership Form.
It’s free and lasts for two outings. Enquiries about membership should be addressed to our membership secretary.
Junior Membership
Under 18’s are allowed down at the club, however they must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times. It is not acceptable for the parent/guardian to leave their child on the bank while they go rowing. Children between the ages of 13-17 can join the club as junior members and can row if accompanied by their parent/guardian in the boat. We accept the policies and procedures relating to child protection, as set out by British Rowing and require all members to accept them. Our junior membership fee is £75 per year.
Student Membership
Students under the age of 23 with a student card can take advantage of a reduced membership fee of £75 per year.
Discounted Membership
Our ethos all about inclusivity. We want to get as many people as possible enjoying the river. We offer a reduced full annual membership fee of £75 per year to those in receipt of a means tested state benefit, e.g. pension credit or universal credit. Please let the membership secretary know that you qualify.
Fun Boat Membership
People who do not wish to row in fine boats but who are interested in using our fun boats can pay a membership fee of £75 per year.
Racking
Sculling boat racking is available at the new boathouse.
Handbook
Our Members Handbook is published annually online.
We ask that all members read the handbook as it contains important information about safety and our club rules.
