Some of the junior rowers and their families will be going to watch the Henley Royal Regatta on Sunday 3rd July and having a picnic. If anyone would like to join us then you’re most welcome. Bring a blanket and a picnic and come along.
Racing on the Sunday starts at 11am and finishes at 5pm. There are about 27 races so plenty of rowing to watch.
The plan is to get down for the start of racing and base ourselves on the river bank between Upper Thames Rowing Club and Temple Island meadow. We’ll set up a few picnic blankets for others too.
If you’d like a more formal Henley experience then you can book tickets to the regatta enclosure at the finish line. Here’s some more info https://www.hrr.co.uk/regattaenclosure.
You’re welcome to wander down the course and join the picnic during the day. If you’re in the Stewards enclosure then come along and say hello.
There isn’t any need to confirm whether or not you’re attending, just come along and enjoying the rowing with a picnic and a Pimms.
