Recreational rowing on the Thames. Beginners, new members and visiting clubs welcome.

‘Club that teaches novices how to mess about right royally on a river’
A national “Join-In” event has been arranged for the weekend after the Olympics to capitalise on Team GB’s success, and to encourage people to give new sports a try through local clubs – https://www.joininuk.org/ .
GGBC is participating and, with the unprecedented success of our rowers at Eton Dorney, we hope we can encourage people to come along and give rowing a try.
We will be running rowing sessions between 9am and midday on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th August. Anyone is welcome to come along and try rowing.
If you or any friends, relatives, or colleagues are interested in rowing, this would be a great opportunity to give it a try without cost or obligation.
Come down and row any Saturday morning (9am), Sunday morning (10am) or Thursday evening (6am). Novices welcome.
Membership is now half price for the rest of the year!

Regarding the weather outlook, if things are very wet on the day then parking may be rearranged further away so please can all rowers allow plenty of time to turn up for their race (10 minutes will not be enough) to avoid elimination on the day without even getting in a boat.
