Here is a letter form one of our beginners on our recent Learn2Row course.
“Dear Stuart,
Joining your Learn2Row course has been one of my best experiences…ever!
I was so thrilled to have found such a pleasant, kind bunch of people at GGBC.
Our group of 12 beginners – of all ages and sexes are all fun and keen. Almost no one had any experience, like me, but we trusted this bunch of generous GGBC rowers completely.
To find myself in a boat on lesson one (in the sleet!) with some semblance of knowledge was, to say the least, right out of my comfort zone. But thanks to the patience and kindness of all the GGBC members who freely gave of their time to help us all – I’m now hooked!
At my age to learn something new that completely engages your body and brain, you have to really concentrate, is a brilliant challenge.
I can’t recommend the club, the course, the joy of rowing highly enough. It’s a wonderful sport.
