Capsize drill done!
So a large crowd of us practised our capsize technique in a single scull in a large hot swimming pool near Henley. Our lovely trainer showed us what to do, how to be safe, how to get out of the water and on to the boat. For those of you who would like to learn more, watch this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DcPE8-gENLo. For those of you who think it might be scary, it’s actually ok!
If you would like to sign up for our next session, please contact the membership secretary, Pamela Birch. Give it a go!

At the same time GGBC members can have a go – with instruction from Adventure Dolphin – in one of the many kayaks they paddle down to us.
